Enlarged Prostate, Vasectomy, And Prostate Cancer

prostate-enlargement

The American Cancer Society estimates the following latest statistics about prostate cancer  in the United States for 2016:

  • About 180,890 new cases of prostate cancer
  • About 26,120 deaths from prostate cancer

And did you know that other than skin cancer, prostate cancer is the most common cancer in American men?  It is estimated 1 in 7 men will be diagnosed with Prostate Cancer during his lifetime…

Prostate problems are affecting men at younger and younger ages.  Unfortunately, today these disorders are now being suffered by men beginning after about age 35.  And some of the easiest ways to prevent prostate problems are by exercising regularly and avoiding chemical antihistamines which impair prostate function and impair the liver with overuse.

So, Gentlemen, if these disorders begin at such a young age, how old do you think you will be by the time 50% of you have an enlarged prostate? Between ages 51 and 60.  And by age 80, well over 90% will have an enlarged prostate. Of course, once again, this can be prevented.

What are the main causes of prostate enlargement?

  1. A diet with too little fiber
  2. A high fat diet
  3. Too much caffeine
  4. Too much alcohol
  5. Imbalanced hormones such as altered testosterone levels and elevated estrogen levels due to prostaglandin and essential fatty acid depletion
  6. Lack of exercise
  7. An overloaded and exhausted lymphatic system, usually due to overuse of medications

When the prostate is inflamed, enlarged, sexual intercourse is not recommended since it will irritate the prostate further and delay recovery.  Delay sexual intercourse until the inflammation is alleviated.

vasectomy

And what if you are thinking about, or have had a Vasectomy?  Studies have shown that a man must think through his decision before having a vasectomy. There is a larger risk of cancer of the prostate in vasectomized men. Why, do you ask? Sperm builds up due to the sealed off vas deferens. With this build up, the body reabsorbs the sperm and the body is prone to having an autoimmune response to its own tissue. Since the testicles are known as a very powerful energy focal point in a man’s life force, when something interferes with the free flowing movement of sperm, this means energy is blocked and not flowing as it should either. Eventually this results in degeneration. Stagnation, if you will.

Think twice before performing this procedure.  You will be preventing disease and a number of other undesirable side effects, and, your body will love you for it and will perform better sexually.

The liver is also affected from a vasectomy by causing blockage that leads to built up anger and irritability, the emotion related to an ill liver, and also leads to an inflamed prostate, abdominal pain, and sciatica or leg cramps.

Natural herbal therapy solutions?

Chinese herbs are the best at balancing us emotionally and physically.  Western herbs just don’t do it the same.  That is way, because internal energy balance is a necessary focus when helping the body overcome these types of male reproductive system challenges, I recommend Chinese herbs, whether negative (yin) formulas or positive (yang) formulas.

The liver is the filter of hormones.  And since the liver regenerates every 90 days, and hormone levels are crucial to prostate health, use the following combination to prevent and help the body heal from prostate inflammation, balance hormones, and elevate mood:

CHINESE POSITIVE PACK

MEN’S FORMULA W/ LYCOPENE

EQUOLIBRIUM

If you have had a vasectomy, have a presence of abnormal cells, even benign cells, or prostate cancer is present, negative Yin Chinese herbs are best to help the body overcome these challenges with also, great success.  I recommend the following combination therapy program for minimum 3-6 months to help the body fight abnormal cells:

CHINESE NEGATIVE PACK TCM

MEN’S FORMULA W/ LYCOPENE

EQUOLIBRIUM

Return to an active vibrant sex life with vitality, vigor and health…

Be well and be healthy, Gentlemen!

Prostate Health: Best Foods

image

Prostate problems among men today used to usually begin after age 33. Now more and more younger men are experiencing prostate disorders, suffering with everything from enlarged prostate, to low sexual desire (low libido) and decreased potency.

But men are able to help themselves naturally and manage prostate problems, without the use of drugs that have sadly many adverse side effects.

Here are a list of foods men should incorporate in their diet to strengthen prostate, lower cholesterol (which has been proven to naturally to lower PSA levels), and promote healing:

– whole grains
-seafoods, sea veggies (high in EFAs   essential fatty acids)
-Green tea daily
-an abundance of green salads
-steamed vegetables
-fresh fruits, fresh juices

To lower cholesterol and in turn help lower PSA levels add these to the diet:

-pumpkin seeds
-toasted wheat germ
-flax seeds, flax seed oil
-oat bran
-dried seaweed with miso soup
-sesame seeds
-brown rice

*Lemon juice and water in the morning helps to cleanse sediments. Use for 2-4 weeks then continue to use often in the diet. Apple cider vinegar and raw honey help to prevent recurrence of sediment. Use for 30-45 days after initial weeks of lemon water.

Drink 6-7 glasses of water daily to promote additional cleansing.

Avoid the following foods that increase prostate inflammation and irritate the bladder:

-hard liquor, especially beer
-red meat
-caffeine
-sodas
-spicy foods (decrease)

Forever avoid:
-tobacco
-fatty, fried and refined foods

Prostate Cancer Prevention. What Should You Focus On?

IMG_4365.JPG

Most men are concerned about their prostate health. And the Cancer 2014 statistics in CA: The Cancer Journal for Clinicians shows the following:
Estimated New Cancer Cases and Deaths by Prostate Cancer, United States, 2014a
Expected Numbers of New Cancer Cases
Table 1 presents the estimated numbers of new cases of invasive prostate cancer expected among men in the United States in 2014. The overall estimate of 1,665,540 new cases of invasive cancers is the equivalent of more than 4,500 new cancer diagnoses each day.
ESTIMATED NEW CASES
233,000
ESTIMATED DEATHS
29,480

But some men have learned how to keep their prostate healthy by using preventive measures. Men. And those who love the Men in their lives. Focus on Glandular health and Urinary health to achieve true Prostate health. Traditional Chinese Medicine teaches us that even prostate pain is a symptom associated with the urinary system, mainly kidney health.

Causes of prostate cancer? A high sugar, high fat, high cholesterol, low fiber diet is a main cause! This diet causes the conversion of normal testosterone to di-hydro-testosterone by the enzyme 5-alpha reductase. In short, this conversion of hormones causes the body to develop abnormal cells, especially in the genital system. Antioxidants are essential for cancer prevention. Not only are men concerned today more than ever about preventing Prostate Cancer, but men are concerned about always maintaining a healthy, strong erection also, which is dependent on prostate health.

Naturopaths and Holistic Practitioners have experienced magnificent results in recommending natural herbal recommendations for prostate health and prostate cancer prevention. In my over 21 years of practice I have seen those same results. Combined, the following natural therapies help the body fight abnormal cell presence, help prevent abnormal cell development, help decrease prostate inflammation and pain, strengthen the prostate, balance hormonal levels, and increase sexual endurance and sexual vitality:
EQUOLIBRIUM

CHINESE NEGATIVE PACK

PAW PAW CELL REG (add if abnormal cells are present)

URINARY PACK

THAI-GO

In addition, avoid the following foods:

  • red meats, sodas, caffeine, alcohol (hard liquor and especially
beer). These foods need to be avoided in absolute
    during healing.
  • tobacco, refined flours, and fried, greasy, fatty food should be avoided for good! If there is irritation of the bladder, or discomfort while urinating, eliminate spicy foods as well.

Remember, Gentlemen. Prevention is key. Along with the natural therapy I’ve recommended above, a more vegetarian, high fiber, low-fat, low-sugar diet is necessary. Make the changes. For Your Health.

How Equolibrium Supports Healthy Prostate Function and Cell Replication

From my Healthy Living Blog~>

An exclusive new formula called, EQUOLIBRIUM harnesses the power of equol, a powerful antioxidant that supports the prostate through a multi-faceted approach.

First, equol binds directly to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) to prevent it from binding to receptor sites in the prostate. Equol’s unique DHT binding ability makes it the only known molecule that protects the prostate without triggering the side effects that can be caused by enzyme-blocking products. It:

Supports healthy prostate function and urinary flow without side effects
Helps improve sleep duration
Supports healthy prostate cell replication

The DHT Issue
DHT, created from the combination of the hormone Testosterone and the enzyme 5-Alpha Reductase, occurs naturally within the body. Once formed, it binds with receptor sites along the prostate and encourages the prostate to grow. This is a natural process that occurs in all men. Unfortunately, continued prostate growth can restrict the healthy flow of urine from the bladder.

Combating DHT
Common pharmaceuticals address this issue with an enzyme blocker targeting the 5-Alpha Reductase enzyme. This effectively prevents the formation of DHT within the body promoting healthy prostate function.

Unfortunately, 5-Alpha Reductase naturally binds with other substances within the body to promote its healthy function. Enzyme blockers prevent 5-Alpha reductase from binding with Testosterone and everything else, resulting in adverse side effects.

Rather than targeting the 5-Alpha Reductase enzyme, Equolibrium targets DHT. Equol is the only known molecule that can bind directly to DHT. As such, it stops DHT from binding with the prostate and encourages healthy prostate function.

Because Equol binds directly with DHT, the 5-Alpha Reductase enzyme is free to bind with other substances. Equolibrium naturally supports healthy prostate function without causing side effects.

(Yes, Gentlemen, true continued healthy prostate function is finally attainable. Click here for even more detailed information about Equolibrium. )

Impotence, BPH, And Prostate Health. Men. Let’s Talk…

Men face unique health challenges and need to pay particular attention to the prostate gland, especially with age. Scientific research suggests that several herbs can help support men’s health, including saw palmetto, stinging nettle and African plum tree, or pygeum bark. Saw Palmetto is the most studied and best understood of those herbs, and research shows that it provides numerous health benefits for the prostate gland.

The general topic of men’s health is quite broad and can include issues that are part of women’s health too. Good examples here are cardiovascular health and weight loss, as well as sexual wellbeing. Prostate health and conditions such as impotence / erectile dysfunction (ED) are peculiar to men while in the older female, sexual dysfunction nearly always centers on menopause. In younger women, specific physiological disorders affecting sexual health seem to predominate. In men, vascular health and sexual function are very closely related.

Erectile dysfunction not only adversely affects intimate relationships, but it can also indicate potential cardiovascular health problems. In many cases, erectile difficulties may be a sign of an underlying cardiovascular disorder. Because vascular health reflects erectile function, it’s not surprising that nutritional supplement ingredients that support healthy erectile performance also contribute to cardiovascular health. Supplements that are intended to combat ED usually contain ingredients that will support optimal nitric oxide (NO) levels in the body. Nitric oxide relaxes blood vessels to facilitate improved blood flow. The amino acid arginine is well-known for its cardiovascular benefits primarily because of its conversion to NO in the endothelial cells that line the internal surfaces of arteries. Increased vascular smooth muscle relaxation and the resulting improved blood flow to erectile tissue are due to enhanced NO production.

It has been shown that oral arginine supplementation significantly supports erectile function when compared with placebo (1). Horny (Epimedium sagittatum) has been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine for centuries because of its aphrodisiac effects and support of erectile health. Scientists have isolated and characterized icariin and have shown this flavonoid derivative to be the major Viagra-like active component (2). Recent research has demonstrated that icariin selectively inhibits phosphodiesterase type 5 (PPE-5), an enzyme that causes a rapid termination of male sexual activity. By blocking this enzyme, sexual activity in men is sustained. Additionally, icariin enhances the production of NO from arginine. As we now know, increased production of NO by cells in the arterial wall results in dilatation of the penile blood vessels, which increases blood flow and maintains erectile function. This mechanism of action for natural icariin is amazingly similar to that of synthetic Viagra (3). The enhanced NO production from arginine also underlines potential cardiovascular benefits. Other natural ingredients have a long history of safe and effective use in ED and complement the actions of arginine and horny goatweed. These include Maca root or Peruvian Ginseng (Lepidium meyenii), Yohimbe root bark (Pausinystalia yohimbe) and DHEA (dehydroepiandrosterone). All three of these ingredients act as aphrodisiacs and are noted for their erectile and sexual health benefits in men. Interestingly, Maca has recently been suggested to benefit female sexual health and to support female sexual dysfunction (4).

Another health issue that is fairly widespread in men is enlarged prostate or benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Keep in mind that BPH is not prostatic cancer, but it can be bothersome. Men usually know when they encounter BPH because of difficult urination and frequent nocturnal urination. The currently accepted and most plausible theory supporting the etiology of BPH centers on prostatic testosterone and its excessive conversion to the more potent dihydrotestosterone (DHT). The enzyme 5-alpha reductase catalyzes this conversion, and once formed, DHT stimulates the proliferation of prostatic cells. It appears logical that high levels of DHT lead to excessive numbers of prostatic cells, which can result in an enlarged prostate. Saw Palmetto (Serenoa repens) is the most popular and best understood ingredient that provides benefit in cases of BPH. The lipophilic (fat soluble) fraction from Saw Palmetto berries is most active and it appears that fatty acids from this fraction inhibit 5-alpha reductase to lower prostate levels of DHT. The bark of the African Plum Tree (Pygeum africana) and the root of Stinging Nettle (Urtica dioica) have shown significant benefit in cases of BPH (5,6). Also, anecdotal reports exist of the carotenoid lycopene and the mineral zinc producing prostate health benefits.

Men’s Formula with Lycopene provides nutritional support for the prostate gland. (A formula I researched, recommend, and have trusted for many years with my patients and clients with sustained excellent results.) It is specially formulated for men over 40 with saw palmetto, pumpkin seeds, pygeum bark, gotu kola, stinging nettle, as well as the antioxidant lycopene, which has been shown to have a supportive affect on prostate gland function. Saw Palmetto has been used for ages to support glandular tissue, particularly the prostate gland. It supports hormone balance and contains a compound used by the body to produce cortisone, an adrenal hormone that helps regulate the metabolism of fats, carbohydrates, sodium, potassium and proteins.

Most importantly, is the comfort of knowing a man can support his prostate and urinary flow without side effects. Equolibrium brings balance to your urinary routine by supporting healthy prostate function and cell replication. An exclusive formula, Equolibrium harnesses the power of equol. A powerful antioxidant, equol supports the prostate through a multi-faceted approach. First, equol binds directly to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) to prevent it from binding to receptor sites in the prostate. Equol’s unique DHT binding ability makes it the only known molecule that protects the prostate without triggering the side effects that can be caused by enzyme-blocking products.

Maintenance of men’s health is an important priority and should not be ignored. Several nutritional approaches offer meaningful benefits. My belief is that men should optimize the proper functioning of all body systems so as to preserve the highest achievable health status.

7 Main Causes Of Prostate Enlargement & Why Men Should Think Twice About A Vasectomy

enlarged-prostate01

Newly updated March 1, 2016.

Studies have shown that a man must think through his decision before having a vasectomy. There is a larger risk of cancer of the prostate in vasectomized men. Why, do you ask? Men, Sexuality, Andropause & More

Most men today, unfortunately, are dealing with hormonal imbalances. But some men have overcome these discomforts easily by focusing on bringing balance back to the body with natural therapy alternatives. The term used most to describe the hormonal imbalances in men is “Andropause“. When men get into their early 30s, they begin losing testosterone at a rate of one to two percent a year. According to the US Census Bureau, approximately 4-5 million men have symptoms of low testosterone levels and only 5-10% of these men will seek treatment. The University of California published an article on April 7, 2011 that helps others finally understand this is real. Low testosterone levels are more prevalent everyday and affect the quality of life for men. A man’s hormone fluctuations are less dramatic than a woman’s. Testosterone levels start to decline around age 40, falling up to 10% each decade.

Andropause symptoms include the following:

  • loss of or less muscle mass
  • unusual fatigue
  • anxiety
  • emotional sensitivity
  • impotence in
    most cases
  • depression
  • erection problems (less frequent, less strong)
  • loss in height and/or early osteoporosis
  • low energy
  • slow head hair and facial hair
    growth
  • lower sex drive.

Causes are:

  • stress (which leads to adrenal exhaustion, which in turn
worsens symptoms due to the fact that adrenal glands produce most
    hormones)
  • vasectomy
  • synthetic steroids
  • surgery
  • long illness
  • serious and excessive bodybuilding
  • severe dieting
  • nutrient deficiencies
(especially eating an excess of foods inundated with hormones and
    antibiotics)
  • a diet low in protein, iodine,
    calcium, EFAs (essential fatty acids)
    and low in B complex

Ok. What role does testosterone really play?
Testosterone is important for a healthy sex drive and stamina, helps in producing strong erections, and helps the male body in building protein. The hormone, testosterone, also assists the body in bone formation, prostate gland growth, the functions of the liver, and production of blood cells in bone marrow. A man’s sex drive is very much dependent on healthy testosterone levels and a strong blood supply to the erectile tissue. Diet and exercise are two very important factors in maintaining healthy testosterone levels. Men should eat foods rich in zinc such as: liver, oysters, nuts, seeds and legumes. Fiber-rich foods are also very important like: legumes, fruits and vegetables to avoid atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries) of the penis. Drink alcohol in moderation. Heavy drinking can lead to reduced erections.

https://i0.wp.com/www.prostate.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/erectile-dysfunction-prostate.jpg

Conventional medicine has recommended TRT (testosterone replacement therapy) as the solution to this growing problem in men. The side effects alone are enough to DISCOURAGE ANYONE from considering this sort of toxic treatment. Acne on face, back and/or chest is a side effect. And prostate cancer is a severe side effect, especially if it runs in the family. It is also not prescribed to men who have had prostate cancer. (Obviously. Since a man who has had prostate cancer is already prone to developing abnormal cells.)
More important facts regarding Men and Sexuality: MEN! KEEP YOUR WEIGHT DOWN! EXTRA WEIGHT MEANS A SMALLER PENIS! A man loses 1/2 inch from their penis for every 15 pounds he gains, according to Sexologists. Extra weight causes a man to develop a pad of fat that tends to creep over the shaft of the penis. Drug use used for recreation for a prolonged period of time inhibits sperm production. Sperm and chromosome structure becomes damaged from heavy metal and radiation exposure. And another very important fact: (STDs) Sexually Transmitted Diseases scar the vas deferens which then obstruct sperm delivery to the penis and infertility results.

Use the following natural therapies combination to bring hormone levels back to balance, restore sexual desire, erectile capability, reduce body fat, increase muscle strength, and improve mood:

X-ACTION RELOADED
GLANDULAR PACK
CHINESE NEGATIVE PACK

Use continuously for minimum 9-12 weeks to reestablish hormonal balance, increase sexual vitality, increase blood flow throughout the body for stronger erections, energy, emotional balance, and to lose upper body weight gain. A man cares about his body just as much as a woman does. Establishing balance is in your reach with natural therapies.

Cheers to your vitality and virility, Gentlemen!
