If we as parents are not careful, our children’s emotions can rule them instead of them mastering them… And to live a balanced life with Health and Joy, we, and our children, MUST do all in our power to master emotions. According to an article in The Lancet on Infectious Diseases, our emotions are also used against us. It reads: ‘We human beings are creatures not only of intellect but of emotion too. Understanding this very well, campaigners against medical advances appeal to the latter at least as much as the former. From battles over the earliest vaccines, through cornea grafting in the 1950s and heart transplantation in the 1960s, to embryo research today, opponents invariably deploy emotional ammunition as well as whatever rational arguments they can muster.’ So what emotions are poked and prodded to make us feel forced to do things that we should not, keeping our children from feeling truly bold and courageous in their lives, and making their health suffer?
Chinese medicine teaches us of seven (7) emotions that can cause disorders of our internal organs and disease. These seven emotions are: fear, shock, joy, sorrow, worry, contemplation, and anger. Of these there are specifically two (2) that must be focused on to help us overcome the others. These are Fear and Anger. Let me elaborate on these two main emotions.
I have noticed these to be more prevalent today in the past 5 years
than ever before in my 20 years in practice. First, what organs do you think are weakened by Fear? The answer? The Kidneys. Before I continue, I must remind you to open up your minds. You must unlearn what you think you know about your bodies when I discuss Chinese Medicine. It is the only way to truly understand it and help the body to heal itself. Having said this, let’s continue…
Do you have a child with kidney problems? Bladder problems? Bedwetting problems? Frequent urination problems? Constant urinary infections and bladder infections? Have you noticed they are harboring fear or are dealing with unresolved forgiveness and unresolved fear issues? Chinese medicine focuses on strengthening these organs to help the child overcome this debilitating emotion. The kidneys are important organs in charge of growth, reproduction, and maintenance of the metabolic balance of water throughout the body. Everything from bone health, to a healthy puberty, and reproductive system health depends on kidney health. Think of those children you know with back pain, joint problems, ear problems, constant ear infections, or hearing problems, unfounded fears, etc.
Here are other specific symptoms Chinese Medicine teaches us are experienced when the kidneys are weak in children:
To balance and help diminish an excess of the emotion known as Fear, strengthen the kidneys, and increase energy in the body, use both of the following natural therapies with children for minimum 3 months. If the child has trouble swallowing capsules, they may be opened and mixed in 1-2 oz. of apple juice. Preferably organic.:
These provide a basic balancing of yin energy of the vital organs with specific focus on kidney health.
And now, the second emotion,… Anger. This is the emotion related to the Liver. This negative emotion forces energy upward. Think of a child who’s face and/or eyes become red when angry. Heat rises and so this is the perfect example of how this negative energy flows within the body. This upwards energy, which comes from the chemical plant of the body, the liver, will have a child demonstrating symptoms of nausea, vomiting, vomiting blood and may even experience diarrhea containing undigested foods. Do you know a child who gets ‘ticked off’ quickly all the time? A child who throws constant temper tantrums? A child who lives angry at others all the time and/or angry at the world? Please know, these are symptoms of liver imbalances. Do you know a child that even at their tender young age has already been diagnosed with a liver disease? Most likely the child lives with underlying anger.
The liver is one of the most important internal organs in the human body. It is the filter of blood, fat and hormones. It stores and regulates the blood throughout the entire body and is also in control of extending and flexing muscles and joints. The liver loves to grow and disperse, and hates to be inhibited and oppressed. For this reason, when the liver is inhibited by the emotion of anger, it is harmed as a result. Anger and anxiety are even linked to heart disease according to an article this year in The Atlantic. Think of a child dealing with these negative emotions and suffering with early heart disease… All this contributes as a root problem to diseases of the liver. And therefore, when the liver is diseased, a child will demonstrate many more subsequent emotional problems.
Here are other specific symptoms Chinese Medicine teaches us demonstrate Yang liver imbalances:
To balance the liver, help bring more harmony within, and bring forth a more joyous child, use the following natural therapy with a child for minimum 3 months:
If we balance the emotional, the physical will follow. Let’s do all in our power to help our children be happy, healthy, courageous, and bold so they may succeed in life;)

Eleuthero, once known as Siberian Ginseng in this country, use dates back 2,000 years, according to Chinese medicine records. It is referred to as ci wu ju in Chinese medicine. In Russia, Eleuthero was originally used by people in the Siberian Taiga region to increase performance and quality of life and to decrease infections. In more modern times, Eleuthero’s ability to increase stamina and endurance led Soviet Olympic athletes to use it to enhance their training. Explorers, divers, sailors, and miners used Eleuthero to prevent stress-related illness. And after the Chernobyl accident, many Russian citizens were given Eleuthero to counteract the effects of radiation. In ‘Secrets Of Chinese Herbs’, we can read a great deal of this herb’s other attibutes.
The 25 reasons why I Love this particular ginseng, use it myself, and have used it in natural therapy programs with patients and clients for the past 20 years are:
1. Helps prevent respiratory tract infections
2. Provides energy and vitality
3. Increases performance and quality of life
4. Increases stamina and endurance
5. Helps prevent illness in those in high stress jobs
6. Science shows it is a powerful antioxidant with 6 compounds
7. 4 compounds show anti-cancer action
8. 3 compounds show cholesterol lowering action
9. 2 compounds show immune a enhancing effects
10. 1 compound has gall bladder stimulating activity
11. 1 compound has the ability to decrease/moderate insulin levels
12. 1 compound has activity as a protector against radioactivity
13. 1 compound shows antiinflammatory and anti-fever activities
14. 1 compound has shown activity against bacteria
15. Herbal adaptogen studies show this improves muscular strength
16. Improves maximal oxygen uptake
17. Reduces dementia
18. Improves work capacity and fuel homeostasis
19. Improves low sexual function in both Women and Men
20. Improves heart rate, serum lactate, insomnia, tiredness, dizziness due to weakness and anxiety
21. Improves visual and auditory reaction times, improves weakness in lower limbs
22. It has been repeatedly documented that it also improves alertness and psychomotor skills
23. A tonic for invigoration and fortification in times of fatigue
24. Decreases blood coagulation in high-class athletes performing intense physical activity and training
25. A tonic for rehabilitation
An impressive type of ginseng indeed. I believe many can benefit from this precious herb for the above reasons, but also for its characteristic of enhancing stamina.

Most men are concerned about their prostate health. And the Cancer 2014 statistics in CA: The Cancer Journal for Clinicians shows the following:
Estimated New Cancer Cases and Deaths by Prostate Cancer, United States, 2014a
Expected Numbers of New Cancer Cases
Table 1 presents the estimated numbers of new cases of invasive prostate cancer expected among men in the United States in 2014. The overall estimate of 1,665,540 new cases of invasive cancers is the equivalent of more than 4,500 new cancer diagnoses each day.
ESTIMATED NEW CASES
233,000
ESTIMATED DEATHS
29,480
But some men have learned how to keep their prostate healthy by using preventive measures. Men. And those who love the Men in their lives. Focus on Glandular health and Urinary health to achieve true Prostate health. Traditional Chinese Medicine teaches us that even prostate pain is a symptom associated with the urinary system, mainly kidney health.
Causes of prostate cancer? A high sugar, high fat, high cholesterol, low fiber diet is a main cause! This diet causes the conversion of normal testosterone to di-hydro-testosterone by the enzyme 5-alpha reductase. In short, this conversion of hormones causes the body to develop abnormal cells, especially in the genital system. Antioxidants are essential for cancer prevention. Not only are men concerned today more than ever about preventing Prostate Cancer, but men are concerned about always maintaining a healthy, strong erection also, which is dependent on prostate health.
Naturopaths and Holistic Practitioners have experienced magnificent results in recommending natural herbal recommendations for prostate health and prostate cancer prevention. In my over 21 years of practice I have seen those same results. Combined, the following natural therapies help the body fight abnormal cell presence, help prevent abnormal cell development, help decrease prostate inflammation and pain, strengthen the prostate, balance hormonal levels, and increase sexual endurance and sexual vitality:
EQUOLIBRIUM
PAW PAW CELL REG (add if abnormal cells are present)
In addition, avoid the following foods:
Remember, Gentlemen. Prevention is key. Along with the natural therapy I’ve recommended above, a more vegetarian, high fiber, low-fat, low-sugar diet is necessary. Make the changes. For Your Health.

A joyous, cozy, rainy Saturday to You, Queridos~ What was for late lunch today? Asian cuisine was the flavor of the day as I took a moment to enjoy one of my favorite dishes: Hot & Sour Vegetarian Tofu Soup! Delicioso! Apart from the healthy protein and vegetables in this soup such as: tofu, carrots, bamboo shoots, and bean sprouts, what makes this soup spicy is white pepper and diced RED PEPPERS!
According to articles by Demand Media and Chaterlaine, here are 6 health benefits of red peppers:
1. Red peppers contain almost 300 percent of your daily vitamin C intake. Besides being a powerful antioxidant, vitamin C is also needed for the proper absorption of iron. If you are iron deficient, try combining red peppers with your iron source for maximum absorption.
2. Red bell peppers are a great source of vitamin B6 and magnesium. This vitamin and mineral combination shows a decrease in anxiety, especially related to pre-menstrual symptoms. Vitamin B6 is also a natural diuretic, so try stocking up on red bell peppers to reduce bloating and prevent against hypertension.
3. Crushed red pepper helps clear the body of mucous. Clear up your stuffy nose. According to Medindia website, capsaicin found in red peppers aids in clearing nasal mucus congestion by stimulating secretions in your body that get rid of the mucus. Capsaicin is also a muscle relaxant and because of this it is used in some creams to reduce muscle pain. Creams that contain capsaicin also reduce itching and burning effects of psoriasis — a type of skin disease.
4. Red bell peppers help support healthy night vision. Red bell peppers are high in vitamin A, which helps to support healthy eyesight, especially night vision. So when it comes to bell peppers, seeing red is a good thing!
5. Red bell peppers are packed with antioxidants. The combined effects of vitamin A and C create a great antioxidant capacity, and with lycopene in the mix, the red bell pepper becomes a top notch superfood. Lycopene is what makes tomatoes and peppers red. Red peppers are one of the highest veggies in lycopene, which has been successfully tested in the prevention of many cancers including prostate and lung.
6. Burn more calories with red bell peppers. Recent research has shown that sweet red peppers can activate thermogenesis and increase metabolic rate. Red bell peppers do not contain capsaicin, which is what makes peppers hot and causes us to sweat, but they do have a mild thermogenic action that increases our metabolism without increasing our heart rate and blood pressure like the hot peppers do.
Good reasons to add this to your diet, yes? Share this information and watch for more health tips!

Redesigning Our Approach to Cleansing Eliminating Functions
DAILY
WEEKLY
MONTHLY
QUARTERLY
ANNUALLY
THE GOAL: To give you the tools to design the programs you personally need
OUR BODIES PERFORM 2 MAIN FUNCTIONS:
CLEANSING/DRAINING: dislodging, breaking down, and moving toxic materials through the body and out through the eliminative channels (CATABOLIC FUNCTIONS)
BUILDING/ENERGIZING/HEALING: This involves the constant repair and upkeep of our bodies. (ANABOLIC FUNCTIONS)
Why We Need to Detoxify Regularly
Carcinogenic Chemicals in our Water
Carcinogenic Occupational Toxins
Dietary Sources of Pollutants
Cleaning Chemicals
Personal Care Product Chemicals
Air Pollution
Harmful Xenoestrogen Sources
The Chemical Load Begins Before Birth ” …up to 232 toxic chemicals in the umbilical cord blood of 10 babies…The findings constitute hard evidence that each child was exposed to a host of dangerous substances while still in its mother’s womb.”
STARTLING TOXIC STATISTICS
More than 7 million accidental poisonings occur each year, with more than 75% involving children under age 6! —The Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons
According to the U.S. Poison Control Centers, “A child is accidentally poisoned every 30 seconds at home…”
In 2007, 4.1 billion pounds of approx. 650 chemicals were produced by industry and federal facilities.
Toxic chemicals released by industries this year 2014 to date:
4,531,550+ tons
Toxic chemical release – Each and every second 310 Kg of toxic chemicals are released into our air, land, and water by industrial facilities around the world.
This amounts to approximately 10 million tons (over 21 billion pounds) of toxic chemicals released into our environment by industries each year.
Of these, over 2 million tons (over 4.5 billion pounds) per year are recognized carcinogens. This amounts to about 65 Kg each second.
Toxic Inventory Release Database **We have approximately 75,000 chemicals produced to date. We are plagued by cancers of our eliminative channels with lung cancer in the lead followed by colon cancer.
Lung cancer: 226,160 new cases yearly, Colon cancer: 103,170 new cases yearly, Urinary cancer: 141,140 new cases yearly, Skin cancer: 81,240 new cases yearly.
***National Cancer Institute 2012 http://www.cancer.org/acs/groups/content/@epidemiologysurveilance/documents/document/acspc-031941.pdf
Environmental Medicine
“Chemical compounds ubiquitous in our food, air and water are now found in every person. The bioaccumulation of these compounds in some individuals can lead to a variety of metabolic and system dysfunctions… The primary classes of the most common toxic offenders are solvents, pesticides, and heavy metals. Of heavy metals, mercury is the one most individuals are burdened by. The systems most affected…include the immune, neurological and endocrine system.”
** Walter J. Crinnion ND. Alternative Medicine Review, Vol 5, 2000.
According to the website search.epa.gov, 80% of people’s exposure to chemicals occurs in the HOME. EPA (5 year study)– many homes had chemical levels 70 times higher than that of outside air. Common household cleaners are 3 times more likely to cause cancer than outdoor air pollution.
Harmful Estrogens Are Found Everywhere
Foreign or xenoestrogens are found in:
The plastic or styrofoam cup holding your morning coffee
The PVC piping used in your homes and lawns
Detergents, cleaners, pesticides, lawn fertilizers, meat, unfiltered water, cosmetics
Microwaving foods in plastic can enhance the transfer of the plastics or phthalates into our bodies
Universal Chemicals found in Human Fat (EPA stats,1982)
Styrene from Styrofoam cups
Dichlorobenzenes from moth balls/deodorants
Xylene from gasoline
Ethylphenol from drinking water
OCDD from wood and treatment chemicals The first 4 are solvents. The 5th is a dioxin. The word, “universal” means that the average person has all of these in their body.
What about Children and Toxic Exposure?
The book, ‘Textbook of Children’s Environmental Health’ written by Landrigan Philip, published this year 2014, states how ‘in studying a cohort of inner city children in New York City, my colleagues and I are finding that many of the children were exposed prenatally to various air pollutants, pesticides, endocrine-disrupting chemicals, and metals. By age 7 years, 25% of the children were overweight or obese, more than 25% had a diagnosis of asthma, and 15% had experienced delayed cognitive or motor development that could affect their ability to learn. One boy in the study is affected by asthma and developmental problems. Biomarkers in his cord blood showed measurable exposure to a number of toxic chemicals.’
And What About Sex Toys And Sexual Lubricants?
According to,’When Sex Goes Toxic’, ‘most sexual intimate toys and sexual lubricants are chock full of toxic ingredients like parabens, sodium benzoate, glycerin, petrochemicals and even propylene glycol—a common ingredient in brake fluid! Recent studies have also shown that many such products — especially personal lubes — can seriously damage the cell lining, potentially enhancing our susceptibility to sexually-transmitted bags o’ fun like gonorrhea, Chlamydia, syphilis, genital herpes, hepatitis B and, of course, HIV.’
‘According to market research firm Iri, Americans plunk down roughly $200 million annually on lube alone, a substance that sort of faces Food and Drug Administration scrutiny but not necessarily in the ways you might expect. That’s because the FDA classifies lube as something “to lubricate a body orifice to facilitate entry of a diagnostic or therapeutic device.” (And if that doesn’t get you all hot and bothered nothing will.)’
‘The problem with classifying lubricants this way, as a de facto medical device, is twofold. First, thanks to the glorious idiosyncrasies of language, such products only face FDA scrutiny if they explicitly portend to be “vaginal lubricants.” Such a stipulation imposes a stipulation that the manufacturer must submit a host of applications (called “510k clearances”) to the FDA. But it doesn’t necessarily mean it has to prove the product is safe for repeat contact.’
‘Second, companies that don’t explicitly state their products are intended for vaginal lubrication — even if everybody knows they are — face barely any regulation at all. So, unless people’s junk starts spontaneously bursting into flames after rubbing on some Liquid Sexy Heat, most manufacturers just keep on peddling.’
‘From a toxicity perspective, we know that many intimate-use products currently on the market (most of which come from China, by way of Unregulatedville) contain a host of parabens. Parabens are known endocrine disruptors, and endocrine disruptors have, for some time, been linked to birth defects, reduced sperm count, tumors, immune deficiencies and a seemingly endless list of nasty business, like the “feminization of boys.”’
‘Furthermore, while the U.S. lags behind regulating the toxins we come in contact with, the entire European Union is seeking to ban parabens in any product meant for children under 6 years old. Officials at the World Health Organization, meanwhile, have stated outright that endocrine disruptors can potentially lead to “obesity, infertility or reduced fertility, learning and memory difficulties, Type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease, as well as a variety of other diseases.”’
‘“We don’t have categorical proof that the toxic substances found in (these products) will kill you,” admits Dr. Peter Anton, who recently co-authored an in-depth study on lubricant use. “But if you could easily avoid them why wouldn’t you?”‘
The Benefits of Detoxification?
Opening the door to promoting healing and rejuvenation and greater longevity.
May promote slowing degeneration and aging.
It provides an internal shower and tune-up.
To be a personal tool for elimination of toxic waste accumulations, environmental toxins, acids, opportunistic organisms, mucus, excess fat, fluid buildup.
Inspires us to design for ourselves programs for healthier skin and complexion, weight management, reduction or elimination of aches and pains, more energy, more even moods, positive life outlook and more.
Prepare Your Mind to Meet Your Goals
We must have 100% commitment to truly get well. We may have to do some things we enjoy less than others. But what if we could change our thought processes and enjoy it all? That would be huge!! For every belief, there is a result. The faster we change our thinking, the faster the shift that brings the desired result.
Goals of Colon Cleansing

To increase the natural healthy colon flora A clean environment may reduce toxins reabsorbing into body tissues.
13 Lifestyle Changes to a Healthy Colon
Breakfast like a king, Lunch like a queen, Dinner like a pauper. This decreases digestive burden at night.
Chew your food well.
Eat a high fiber diet.
Eat only until satisfied
Eat in a relaxed atmosphere
Drink no more than 6 oz of fluid at a meal.
Avoid milk, juice, and coffee with meals
Make half of your plate fresh, raw, or lightly steamed veggies.
Drink fresh pure water: 8 cups/daily.
Eat pickled vegetables and fermented foods like sauerkraut.
Eat fruit alone.
Exercise.
Release hatred, anger, rage, fear, stress, anxiety, worry verbally, and verbally replace with the opposite weekly.
“Kidneys are the body’s last-route filtering system. If the kidneys don’t work correctly, toxins build up.” — articlesbase.com/diseases-and-conditions-articles/what-is-kidney-disease.
IN CHINESE MEDICINE, the respiratory system governs the mucus balance of the body as well as the voice volume and flow of Chi energy. It belongs to the Metal Element, which includes of principle of immunity and protection to the body.
Elasticity, moisture regulation, and pigment control are only a few of the functions occurring within the skin. This marvelous organ functions as a protective barrier to disease-causing organisms. The skin often is a mirror of inner toxicity. It is an eliminative organ. Overload here may signal congestive lymph, colon, kidneys, and liver.

Do you believe a form of medicine that is well over 5,000 years old could have some glimpse into what our bodies need for longevity, youth, and good health?
Traditional Chinese Medicine has much to teach us about maintaining good health in general. Because of their many years of proven results, this is why I became fascinated with it and made it a point to use (TCM) Traditional Chinese Medicine also in my practice. Why, do you ask, do we need to use Traditional Chinese Medicine when modern, scientific, allopathic medicine is available to us? The reason is that diseases and ailments that cannot be cured by Western medicine can be with Traditional Chinese Medicine successfully.
In this article I focus on achieving feelings of youth, health and longevity naturally. There are many common factors you have probably heard of that cause one to feel old, aged and unhealthy. Yet, Chinese Medicine has found the most important cause; Immune Deficiency. What does this mean? Simply put, it means that people have become so weak that they get sick easily and frequently. The Chinese Academy of Medical Science has pointed out from recent research that among 25 people over 60, and 20 people between 20 and 30 years old, the ratio of T cells (cells that are thymus gland-dependent and determine our immune function) in the group of those over 60 years old was lower than in the group of people between 20 and 30 years old. Fascinating!
This clearly shows the link between aging and immune deficiency! If our immune function is impaired, the survival of the body is in jeopardy. The immune function guards against any harmful infections so that the body can function normally without disease. If we are to live long AND healthy, we must slow down the aging process of our bodies. Yes. We know it is impossible to live forever. Yet, there is no question that we can slow down the aging process. If you wish to live a long life, (who is joining me to age 125?) you must understand the aging process to effectively slow it down.
Immune deficiency, in Traditional Chinese Medicine, is associated with the condition of the Kidneys. The kidneys are known as “the clock of the body”. History points to many Chinese scholars and physicians who achieved longevity by eating kidney traditional Chinese herbs and tonics. In My Teaching to Posterity, a literary classic by a Chinese scholar named Yan Zhi-Tui in the 6th century, he said, “I have been in the habit of eating kidney tonics throughout my life, which is why I could still read fine print when 70 years old with no gray hair on my head.”. Even two Chinese emperors were famous for their longevity due to their firm beliefs in Traditional Chinese Medicine and to their regular practice of taking kidney tonics. ; Emperor Jia-Jing and Emperor Qian-Long.
Apart from a clear understanding of the need to focus on Kidney health for Immune health, bringing the right foods and nutrients into the body is a factor that also enhances longevity. Prescription for Acute Diseases, a Chinese medical book published in the 3rd century, said, “Good health is first and foremost to be found in foods (and Chinese medicine refers to herbs as food); anyone who does not know how to eat the right foods (remember, herbs are food) cannot stay in good health.” In short, when our immune function is deficient, our bodies will not be able to resist disease, if our bodies cannot resist disease, it cannot survive for long, since we live in environments full of potential toxins and enemies. To live long, it is necessary to make weak people stronger so that they don’t become sick so often, which is the first and essential step to be taken in the pursuit of Longevity, Youth, and Health.
Again, anyone joining me to 125 years of age? Looking young, of course, goes hand in hand with all of this. Premature wrinkles, sagging skin, dry skin, oily skin, things that not only women, but also men are concerned about, are very much symptoms that show immediately when the body is not nourished properly. With body balancing nutrient Chinese herbs, these symptoms show improvement dramatically quickly. And Ladies, if at age 41 you are still being asked to show your ID – identification for any given reason (wink-wink, how I love getting asked for identification) , and being mistaken for being in your 20’s, then you’re doing something right! Let’s keep it that way! The following three (3) TCM Traditional Chinese
