Sex, Women & Looking Younger

Newly updated June 20, 2016.

Yes, it’s true. Over 43% of women in the US have some type of sexual dysfunction according to a report in The Journal of the American Medical Association. Let’s discuss in detail Poor or No Orgasm, Low Libido (Low Sexual Desire), and Frigidity.

The problem of low sexual desire is not something we are just seeing happen in today’s day and age. Women (and Men) at all times in history have felt the need for help in the sexual area. This part of our lives is at the most basic, elemental center of our being.

Poor or No Orgasm in a woman can be due to various things. Yet, research indicates the top 3 reasons for poor or no orgasm in women are:

1. a weakened circulatory system

2. emotional disconnect with her sexual partner (since a woman’s sexual response is very much dependent on physical and emotional stimuli)

3. poor self-body image

When it comes to circulation, for a woman to be more sensitive, improved blood supply to vaginal walls and the clitoris is necessary. If there is healthy circulation to the groin area, you can be sure to also be more sensitive on the famous G-Spot.

The Grafenberg spot (G-spot) is an area of heightened pleasure for any woman when it is stimulated properly. According to The Journal of Sexual Medicine, Volume 9, Issue 5, May 2012, the G-spot has a distinguishable anatomic structure. Yes, Ladies (and Gentlemen), it does!  It appears as a well-delineated sac with walls that resemble fibro-connective tissues and resemble erectile tissues. Erectile tissues! Think of it! If the G-spot can actually become ‘erect’  it makes perfect sense as to why blood flow is crucial to achieving an orgasm/multiple orgasms! (See image above for the exact location in detail of the G-spot.)

Regarding poor self-body image, you must remember Ladies, that you must learn to love yourself, first and foremost. Think of your body positively, know and understand what pleases you sexually, and share with your partner your sexual fantasies and ideas, no matter what they may be. Walk around your home in the nude as often as you can. Look at yourself in the mirror. If you do not put yourself on a pedestal and love and treat yourself as the Queen that you are, who can know how they should treat you?

Libido-lowering elements such as: the over-use of drugs (antibiotics
and many prescription drugs have side effects of impairing sex
drive and even cause vaginal dryness), a stressed, high-pressured, rushed lifestyle,  hormone-injected foods, foods with hormone-disrupting chemicals, and high fat nutrient-poor diets laced with sugar and refined flours, all lead to a lack of time for love-making, low energy and low libido.

Frigidity is painful intercourse usually due to vaginal dryness, and/or fear rooted in sexual trauma (possibly rape, molestation, or any other
sexual episode in the woman’s life that brings her discomfort when trying to be intimate). If vaginal dryness is the concern I recommend improving lubrication internally and improving skin tone ( I will give the solution for this at the end of this article).

Fear to have sex because of some physical or emotional trauma may also bring on depression. If a woman is taking anti-depressants or other medications, her libido is almost guaranteed to suffer. If she feels she cannot be pleased or please her partner, it may bring about despair and an even more depressed state, and it becomes a vicious cycle. Depression-related libido problems are resolved when we increase serotonin and also naturally improve libido with herbal aphrodisiacs (sexual enhancing herbs).

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) teaches us that all the above symptoms in women are due to weakness, weak energy, fear/fright, and ‘damp-heat’ within the body.  What are the main organs that need focus and support according to TCM?  The Kidneys.

The kidneys are in charge of reproduction, growth (because they also dominate
the structural system such as bones, joints, etc.) and maintenance of the metabolic balance of water. Located in the lumbar region of the body, it is said the loins (hips, groin, lower abdomen, reproductive organs) are the residence of the kidneys, so, when the kidneys are ill/diseased, symptoms may occur across the loins. Fear is the emotion related to the Kidneys. And you’ve learned enough with my past information that emotions affect us physically. In  other words, if there is Low Libido, Frigidity, and
Poor Orgasm, focus on the Kidneys!

TCM further teaches us that when the Kidneys are not nourished properly, a woman may be suffering infertility also. All should be treated by toning, strengthening, and reinforcing the kidneys’ energy. In this way we also eliminate deep rooted Fear. In my office I’ve seen time and again the concerned look in many female patients’ faces, and worry in their eyes because they just don’t ‘feel’ right.  This discomfort is formidably lifted from when a woman balances and strengthens her kidneys.

The recommendations I’ve made below are revitalizers for sexual energy as well as effective natural treatments for the unfortunate and common sexual problems I’ve stated in this article. I’ve used these with profound success in my 21 years working with patients and clients. Herbs have a centuries-old reputation for effectiveness in working with the body toward sexual health and enhancement.

Use the following combination of herbal therapies for increased circulation, heightened sexual desire, natural lubrication, and hormonal balance:

* Another tip, Ladies! (And Gentlemen…) Remember I’ve also shared with all of you times before in my posts that studies show an active sex life can make you look up to 7 to 12 years younger, count them, 7 to 12 years younger! “It’s good for you to have good sex,” says David Weeks, a clinical neuropsychologist at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital, whose study on the effects of sex on aging appears in his book, Secrets of the Superyoung. With that said, All women (and men) must stay healthy by being active sexually, have safe sex, of course, and stay as young as you can for as long as possible! (And I am known for being Blunt, Direct and Raw about your health.  Why? Because our health and life are too important to beat around the bush;)

Courage and Boldness: What Emotions Can Stop Our Children From Being Great?

If we as parents are not careful, our children’s emotions can rule them instead of them mastering them… And to live a balanced life with Health and Joy, we, and our children, MUST do all in our power to master emotions. According to an article in The Lancet on Infectious Diseases, our emotions are also used against us. It reads: ‘We human beings are creatures not only of intellect but of emotion too. Understanding this very well, campaigners against medical advances appeal to the latter at least as much as the former. From battles over the earliest vaccines, through cornea grafting in the 1950s and heart transplantation in the 1960s, to embryo research today, opponents invariably deploy emotional ammunition as well as whatever rational arguments they can muster.’ So what emotions are poked and prodded to make us feel forced to do things that we should not, keeping our children from feeling truly bold and courageous in their lives, and making their health suffer?

Chinese medicine teaches us of seven (7) emotions that can cause disorders of our internal organs and disease. These seven emotions are: fear, shock, joy, sorrow, worry, contemplation, and anger. Of these there are specifically two (2) that must be focused on to help us overcome the others. These are Fear and Anger. Let me elaborate on these two main emotions.

I have noticed these to be more prevalent today in the past 5 years
than ever before in my 20 years in practice. First, what organs do you think are weakened by Fear? The answer? The Kidneys. Before I continue, I must remind you to open up your minds. You must unlearn what you think you know about your bodies when I discuss Chinese Medicine. It is the only way to truly understand it and help the body to heal itself. Having said this, let’s continue…

Do you have a child with kidney problems? Bladder problems? Bedwetting problems? Frequent urination problems? Constant urinary infections and bladder infections? Have you noticed they are harboring fear or are dealing with unresolved forgiveness and unresolved fear issues? Chinese medicine focuses on strengthening these organs to help the child overcome this debilitating emotion. The kidneys are important organs in charge of growth, reproduction, and maintenance of the metabolic balance of water throughout the body. Everything from bone health, to a healthy puberty, and reproductive system health depends on kidney health. Think of those children you know with back pain, joint problems, ear problems, constant ear infections, or hearing problems, unfounded fears, etc.

Here are other specific symptoms Chinese Medicine teaches us are experienced when the kidneys are weak in children:

  • Weak legs
  • Brittle bones
  • Kidney inflammation
  • White/graying hair
  • Tinnitus (ringing in the ear)
  • Back problems
  • Problems when climate turns cold
  • Premature aging in a child
  • Ailments in the bones

To balance and help diminish an excess of the emotion known as Fear, strengthen the kidneys, and increase energy in the body, use both of the following natural therapies with children for minimum 3 months.  If the child has trouble swallowing capsules, they may be opened and mixed in 1-2 oz. of apple juice. Preferably organic.:

These provide a basic balancing of yin energy of the vital organs with specific focus on kidney health.

And now, the second emotion,… Anger. This is the emotion related to the Liver. This negative emotion forces energy upward. Think of a child who’s face and/or eyes become red when angry. Heat rises and so this is the perfect example of how this negative energy flows within the body. This upwards energy, which comes from the chemical plant of the body, the liver, will have a child demonstrating symptoms of nausea, vomiting, vomiting blood and may even experience diarrhea containing undigested foods. Do you know a child who gets ‘ticked off’ quickly all the time? A child who throws constant temper tantrums? A child who lives angry at others all the time and/or angry at the world? Please know, these are symptoms of liver imbalances. Do you know a child that even at their tender young age has already been diagnosed with a liver disease? Most likely the child lives with underlying anger.

The liver is one of the most important internal organs in the human body. It is the filter of blood, fat and hormones. It stores and regulates the blood throughout the entire body and is also in control of extending and flexing muscles and joints. The liver loves to grow and disperse, and hates to be inhibited and oppressed. For this reason, when the liver is inhibited by the emotion of anger, it is harmed as a result. Anger and anxiety are even linked to heart disease according to an article this year in The Atlantic. Think of a child dealing with these negative emotions and suffering with early heart disease… All this contributes as a root problem to diseases of the liver. And therefore, when the liver is diseased, a child will demonstrate many more subsequent emotional problems.

Here are other specific symptoms Chinese Medicine teaches us demonstrate Yang liver imbalances:

  • Irritability, anger or hardheadedness
  • Throat irritation
  • Tonsil inflammation
  • Eye infections
  • Allergies
  • Digestive problems
  • Headaches, Migraines
  • Menstrual irregularities

To balance the liver, help bring more harmony within, and bring forth a more joyous child, use the following natural therapy with a child for minimum 3 months:

If we balance the emotional, the physical will follow.  Let’s do all in our power to help our children be happy, healthy, courageous, and bold so they may succeed in life;)

Frigidity In Men And Women: Healing Fear And Pain

Newly Updated May 16, 2016.

To resist the frigidity of old age, one must combine the body, the mind, and the heart. And to keep these in parallel vigor one must exercise, study, and love. -Alan Bleasdale

Frigidity. Most who suffer with Frigidity feel they are suffering with more than just a physical problem. And many feel there is no hope for them in saving their relationships with their partners, or feeling good again about themselves. But some have figured out a way to overcome Frigidity to enjoy a loving, lush, intimate, and sensual life again.

What is Frigidity? According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary it means: the quality or state of being frigid; specifically :  marked or abnormal sexual indifference especially in a Woman. Note: it can also be indifference in a Man.  “Because of the derogatory connotations that have become associated with the term frigidity, it has been replaced in the vocabulary of sex therapists by the general term hypogyneismus, the inability of a woman to obtain sexual satisfaction under otherwise appropriate circumstances.

I have come across this issue with patients and clients time and again in my 20+ years in practice.  It is something that I find is one of the root concerns in those who suffer with reproductive system health problems.

Frigidity in Women: Unfortunately many times these women are referred to as ‘cold and distant’.  Frigidity in women is marked by painful intercourse usually due to vaginal dryness, and/or fear rooted in sexual trauma (possibly rape, molestation, or any other sexual episode in the woman’s life that brings her discomfort if she has not overcome her trauma and those specific thoughts enter her mind when trying to be intimate). First, with the concern of vaginal dryness, it is recommended improving lubrication internally and improving skin and muscle tone.

Frigidity in Men: According to The New Yorker issue, September 28, 1929, article ‘Frigidity In Men’, it is described as “… a man who does not respond to any of the general advances made by the aggressive female. This type of man possesses a recessive knee and also is reticient about kissing. He shrinks from any demonstration of affection, and is considered a biological “sport”. He would rather admire his women from afar and dream about them.” This term of Frigidity is mostly used for women, while today it is referred to generally as impotence in men.

According to Psychology Today, ‘… frigidity in women and impotence in men,… have now been replaced with less judgmental terms. Impotence is now known as erectile dysfunction, and frigidity is now described as any of several specific problems with desire, arousal, or anxiety. For both men and women, these conditions may appear as an aversion to, and avoidance of, sexual contact with a partner. In men, there may be partial or complete failure to attain or maintain an erection, or a lack of sexual excitement and pleasure in sexual activity. In women, there may be an inability to lubricate enough to complete the sex act’.

***Please note I feel both descriptions of a Frigid Woman (as in when she is referred to as ‘cold and distant’), and a Frigid Man are negative and derogatory.  As Medical Online’s Sex Therapy states, “Both men and women need the right conditions to respond, and often do not get them.” The right conditions to respond sexually, that is. Best, I feel, let us look deeper into the emotional and physical healing that must take place for these people dealing with this sexual problem so they may feel the capacity to have sexual intimacy again.

Fear to have sex, in both men and women, because of some physical or emotional trauma has been marked as one of the major causes of Frigidity. This Fear is considered emotional pain. And this Fear may also bring on depression.  If in turn a person is taking anti-depressants or other medications to stabilize mood, that person’s libido is almost guaranteed to suffer. If they feel they cannot be pleased or feel they cannot please their partner, it may bring about despair and an even more depressed state, and it becomes a vicious cycle.  Depression-related libido problems are resolved when we increase serotonin and also naturally improve libido with herbal aphrodisiacs. TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) teaches us that all the above symptoms in women are due to emotional weakness, physical weakness, weak energy flowing through the body, fear/fright, damp-heat within the body, and that the main organs of focus are the Kidneys.

The Kidneys are in charge of reproduction, growth, and the metabolic balance of water throughout the body.  Located in the lumbar region of the body, it is said the loins (hips, groin, lower abdomen, reproductive organs) are the residence of the kidneys, so when the kidneys are ill/diseased, symptoms may occur across the loins.  Fear is the emotion associated with the Kidneys. Excessive Fear hurts the Kidneys. Toning, strengthening and reinforcing the Kidneys’ energy, according to TCM will also help a person eliminate deep rooted Fear.  Frigidity is more than just not feeling like having sex. As we see here it is rooted in a combination of imbalances that reflect themselves in the emotional and physical.

The recommendations I’ve made below are revitalizers for sexual energy as well as effective natural treatments for the unfortunate and common sexual problem Frigidity I’ve stated in this article. Herbs have a centuries-old reputation for effectiveness in working with the body toward sexual health and enhancement.  Use the following combination of therapies for increased circulation, heightened sexual desire, and hormonal balance. Liver Health – Why You Should Love Your Liver

As the second largest organ in the body, liver health plays a significant role in the body’s overall health. The liver is a part of the hepatic portal system, which controls essential glucagon and insulin secretion throughout the body, monitors metabolism and digestion, acts as a detoxifying organ and produces cholesterol as well as blood-clotting substances.

If the health of the liver is jeopardized, all other systems in the body are affected. If you’re not careful, your liver health can be diminished. Alcohol,  medications, pollutants and even viral infections can damage the liver. Symptoms of liver problems may include everything from emotional imbalance leading to harboring increased emotional anger, reacting angrier in everyday situations, feeling less patient, chronic fatigue, yellow discolored skin and eyes,  nausea or loss of appetite. With the body relying on liver health, it is important that you do what you can to keep it strong.

Another few pluses to having a healthy, clean liver? Since the liver is the filter of blood, the filter of fat, and the filter of hormones, know that the healthier your liver is:

1-the healthier your skin will be since skin health is very much related to blood health

2-the easier your body can shed excess fat stores that attribute to general overall body weight gain, lymphatic congestion and cellulite formation

3- the easier you can prevent weight gain, and the easier you can shed that excess upper abdominal fat that seems to begin and protrude from just under the breasts/chest cavity that many complain about when they’ve gained weight

4- the easier it is to prevent hormonal imbalances that lead to many reproductive system challenges including from prostate inflammation to uterine fibroids, and the easier it is to overcome these health problems overall

There are certain herbs and supplements that are known to provide essential antioxidants and other nutrients that support liver health. Click on the link below to learn more about liver supplements that contain those essential antioxidants and nutrients that help one overcome liver challenges by cleansing and strengthening this vital organ.

Breast Cancer in Men, Women, & What You Need To Know

*Warning: This article may contain graphic images unsuitable for individuals under 18 years of age*

Newly updated October 12, 2016.

Breast Cancer. These two words make women AND men shudder in today’s day and age. It’s gotten to the point that most people know someone with breast cancer, and/or know someone who knows someone with breast cancer.

Cancer isn’t just one disease, but a number of diseases. There are four types of cancerous growths known as the following:

  1. sarcomas – affecting bones, muscles, and connective tissue
  2. leukemias – blood cancers
  3. carcinomas– affecting mucous membranes, skin, glands, and organs
  4. lymphomas – affecting the lymph system

Understanding these different types of cancer growths, know that there can definitely be more than one cancer in a location. And what do these 4 cancers have in common? Cells that become abnormal became de-sensitized to normal growth ‘guidelines’, then the damaged cells grow uncontrollably and may spread or move (metastasize) to other parts/areas of the body.

Here are the most recent 2016 U.S. Breast Cancer Statistics:

  • About 1 in 8 U.S. women (about 12%) will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime.
  • In 2016, an estimated 246,660 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed in women in the U.S., along with 61,000 new cases of non-invasive (in situ, or ‘on site’) breast cancer.
  • About 2,600 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed in men in 2016. A man’s lifetime risk of breast cancer is about 1 in 1,000.
  • Breast cancer incidence rates in the U.S. began decreasing in the year 2000, after increasing for the previous two decades. They dropped by 7% from 2002 to 2003 alone. One theory is that this decrease was partially due to the reduced use of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) by women after the results of a large study called the Women’s Health Initiative were published in 2002. These results suggested a connection between HRT and increased breast cancer risk.
  • About 40,450 women in the U.S. are expected to die in 2016 from breast cancer, though death rates have been decreasing since 1989. Women under 50 have experienced larger decreases. These decreases are thought to be the result of treatment advances (in my opinion, an increase in natural herbal therapy treatments also), earlier detection through screening (women should choose, in my opinion, Thermography Scans as opposed to mammograms, which I will discuss in this article), and increased awareness.
  • For women in the U.S., breast cancer death rates are higher than those for any other cancer, besides lung cancer.
  • Besides skin cancer, breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among American women. In 2016, it’s estimated that just under 30% of newly diagnosed cancers in women will be breast cancers.
  • In women under 45, breast cancer is more common in African-American women than white women. Overall, African-American women are more likely to die of breast cancer. For Asian, Hispanic, and Native-American women, the risk of developing and dying from breast cancer is lower.
  • In 2016, there are more than 2.8 million women with a history of breast cancer in the U.S. This includes women currently being treated and women who have finished treatment (conventional medicine treatment).
  • A woman’s risk of breast cancer nearly doubles if she has a first-degree relative (mother, sister, daughter) who has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Less than 15% of women who get breast cancer have a family member diagnosed with it.
  • About 5-10% of breast cancers can be linked to gene mutations (abnormal changes) inherited from one’s mother or father. Mutations of the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes are the most common. On average, women with a BRCA1 mutation have a 55-65% lifetime risk of developing breast cancer. For women with a BRCA2 mutation, the risk is 45%. Breast cancer that is positive for the BRCA1 or BRCA2 mutations tends to develop more often in younger women. An increased ovarian cancer risk is also associated with these genetic mutations. In men, BRCA2 mutations are associated with a lifetime breast cancer risk of about 6.8%; BRCA1 mutations are a less frequent cause of breast cancer in men.
  • About 85% of breast cancers occur in women who have no family history of breast cancer. These occur due to genetic mutations that happen as a result of the aging process and life in general, rather than inherited mutations.
  • The most significant risk factors for breast cancer are gender (being a woman) and age (growing older).

Know which women have one of the highest risks?… Overweight women are at higher risk. Why? If you’re more than 25% above your ideal weight, your risk rises because since there is a high level of fat cells in an overweight woman, it is important to note  that fat cells are the storage depots for environmental estrogen (causing the estrogen dominance issue I so often talk about), pesticides, organ-chlorine residues and other chemical toxins.  If you are about 30 years of age, Ladies, and are overweight, this increases the long-term risk of breast cancer, too.

Other risk factors in women include:

  • those who had their period before age 12
  • those who did not go through menopause until after 55
  • those who did not have a child before 30
  • those who did not carry pregnancy full term
  • those who smoke

Women whose diet are rich in dairy foods and meats have higher risk. Most animal meats are injected with hormones today, and we already know what these hormones are capable of doing to our bodies.

Another fact? Women who eat whole natural soy beans, (and I don’t mean the soy-derived foods like soy meats, or what some call ‘fake food’, etc.) I mean those who eat the true whole natural soy beans (organic is best, of course), have lower levels of circulating estrogen! Yes, my friends!

Vegetarians/Vegans are less at risk of breast cancer because they do not consume injected hormonal meats!… I feel I should write this again… Vegetarians are less at risk of breast cancer because they do not consume hormone-injected meats! Next, birth control use, estrogen pesticides, and long term synthetic estrogen are also risk factors for breast cancer.  Let’s fight Breast Cancer by having a FOCUS ON OPTIMUM HEALTH! Want to know one of the BEST keys to fighting breast cancer? REGULAR EXERCISE. It absolutely alters your body chemistry! So instead of large numbers of fat deposits which store excess estrogen, regular exercise will increase fat metabolism, which helps ‘out’ excess estrogen from the body.

Now, Ladies and Gentlemen, let us discuss Mammograms…  Most people believe having mammograms is breast cancer prevention. And this is far from true. Early detection is absolutely important, yes, yet we MUST understand that a healthy lifestyle and disease prevention should be the primary goal.

Mammograms are known to damage breast tissue and these damaged tissues can become abnormal and cancerous! There is a reason why studies from the 1970’s and 80’s show that mammograms should not be done without suspected cause. The scientific community itself is debating whether death rates from breast cancer are reduced at all by mammograms in women under 50! Younger women’s breasts are dense, so mammograms only detect dangerous lesions in young women about 50% of the time. And did you know that mammograms can not help with distinguishing between slow growing tumors and aggressive ones? Want another shocker? One study by the National Cancer Institute showed that radiologist reports of mammograms were false positives 16% of the time!

It has been documented that women over 50 who have routine annual mammograms may receive UP TO 3 FALSE POSITIVES in their lifetimes! Can you just imagine the emotional imbalance and trauma this causes? Did you also know that even more research also shows mammograms miss cancer 15% of the time! This is so detrimental that by the time the tumor is found because it has reached a ‘detectable size’, it has probably been growing for 7-10 years or more… This then means it could have also spread.

What is the next option? DITI (Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging).
Also known as Thermography.
Thermography does not expose you to radiation or damage breast tissue. It takes measurement of skin surface temperature to determine cancer risk, looks at heat patterns, and to detect tumor growth it looks for specific changes in the blood. Thermography can detect changes years before it shows up on a mammogram. Thermograms are very precise in that they involve a scan of not only the breast, but the under arms (where lymph nodes are located), the upper chest (known to be where the majority of cancers begin), and the entire chest. It can also show how other body organs are doing, determine if there are imbalances and what might be causing them. Taking things a step further, experts say it can also show if an organ or system is prone/susceptible to tumors before there are even signs on a CT scan or X-ray.

The FDA stated in 1982, that Thermography is a highly advanced health scanning technique that offers the benefits of breast cancer screening without the drawbacks of mammogram radiation. Close to over 19,000 articles worldwide have been written about its success. So why, oh why don’t most people choose Thermography instead of mammograms? Most people don’t know they have this option. Many times it is not offered. And it pains me to say, that in the over 21 years I have in practice, I have noticed it is hardly offered at all to minority women… Refuse to put your breasts in that extremely painful caveman-like device of a mammogram, Ladies! The high rate of false positives and false negatives, their link to fibroids, X-ray-harmed breast tissue, and damaged, bruised breast tissue, has women considering thermography which offers a non-invasive technique to keep them better informed of their breast health. Ask for a Thermography. Be adamant about it. You will be glad you did!

Now let’s get down to the nitty gritty, as they say… Do you know what signs should alert you to possible breast cancer, whether you are a man or woman? Here they are:

  • Nipple discharge
  • Scaly skin patches around the nipple
  • Nipple retraction, inward nipple
  • Breast lumps, especially firm lumps with poorly defined edges that don’t move when touched or don’t change during your cycle, often along with breast skin irritation or dimpling and change in breast texture or color (these are truly serious signs)
  • enlargement of lymph nodes in the armpit
  • Chronic swollen sores around the mouth, gums or jaws
  • severe unexplained morning nausea
  • hypothyroidism due to low iodine can be early warning signs to watch for

TIME TO MAKE CHANGES. REDUCE BREAST CANCER RISK. IF YOU’VE ALREADY BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH BREAST CANCER, IT IS TIME TO FINALLY FEED THE BODY WHAT IT NEEDS TO FIGHT ABNORMAL CELLS AND SHRINK TUMORS. REGAIN YOUR HEALTH! >Diet, Diet, Diet… I have heard time and again, “You mean I have to STOP eating steaks, chicken, turkey, and pork chops, Dr. Julissa? Really?” My answer: ABSOLUTELY. Or we cannot prevent or help the body heal itself. “How could this be”, you ask? Reducing animal fats in your diet alone cuts your breast cancer risk by 33%! Let’s have a better look into this…

Beef is very difficult to digest and will putrefy for days in the intestines keeping toxins in the body. Chicken and turkey, except organic, are riddled with injected hormones. And again, even organic chicken and turkey must be reduced to reduce risk simply because they are animal fats. I personally recommend women discontinue all meats altogether, organic or not, if they are dealing with breast challenges or have a genetic family history of breast challenges. And why stop eating pork to prevent risk of breast cancer or to help the heal from breast cancer?! Get ready! And no, I am not referring to the religious reasons why some choose not to eat pork. Although they have chosen well! First, naturopathic medicine teaches us ‘there is no such thing as cancer without a presence of parasites…’. And PORK is THE ONLY MEAT THAT RETAINS PARASITES. This means, there is NO degree of heat a person has available to cook pork meat that will kill the parasites that infest this meat. Also avoid blackened, barbecued meat. These have carcinogenic hydrocarbons. Fresh wild- caught fish, and even then one must be careful, eaten ONLY OCCASIONALLY, is preferred, and must be well cooked! In other words, no raw fish, sushi or sashimi. Parasite infestation must be kept to a minimum. And so eliminating fish would be a positive change as well. Remember, Vegetarians/Vegans are at the lowest risk of developing breast cancer.

Fried foods, sugary foods, junk foods, snack foods, alcoholic drinks high in sugar, and dairy foods; all these foods high in fats and trans fats should be avoided to reduce the risk of breast cancer.  All in all, becoming a Vegetarian/Vegan is best for disease prevention in general.

What to eat to prevent breast cancer and increase healing? -Increase your intake of organic foods in general: such as organic fruits, organic vegetables, whole grains and natural soy beans. Pesticides, GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms) and other toxic substances sprayed onto non-organic foods should be avoided as much as possible.

-Tomatoes and watermelons improve breast health

-Broccoli should be eaten daily. It contains estrogen-absorbing properties; again organic broccoli is best. Dark green vegetables as a whole should be increased in the diet.

-And an important fact I must bring to your attention is the following: There is no breast health with a presence of constipation’. To prevent breast cancer one must be sure to have proper bowel elimination, meaning the normal 2-3 bowel movements per day we should all have to help prevent disease. Of course a poor diet is one contributing factor to constipation, but also in many cases, constipation is due to a dry colon and ‘bad’ eating. DRINK MORE WATER TO REDUCE BREAST CANCER RISK BY 79%!

Purchase purified water or consider a RO (Reverse Osmosis) water filtration system.  And again, organic foods are the way to go to prevent disease in general. Lastly, and extremely important to remember is that, HERBS ARE FOOD AND HELP THE BODY TO HEAL ITSELF. And diet improvement is necessary and  primary because up to 50-70% of cancer risk is determined by your diet.

Natural therapies consisting of herbs are forgotten when most people think of their diet. Poor nutrition will change body chemistry. The immune system cannot defend the body properly when biochemistry is altered. It cannot tell its own cells from invading toxic cells, and in confusion may attack everything or nothing. A proper diet consisting of the right foods I mentioned and the food our earth provides and that was placed to help us treat our ailments, is definitely the place to start.

Most people with breast cancer feel radiation and chemotherapy are the only options available. Yet, why use conventional therapies that ‘try’ to kill abnormal cells but also kill good healthy cells in the process?

Alternative healing options have proven worldwide to help countless people overcome this life-rattling disease every day!

The following healing protocol has been recommended to my patients and clients with breast cancer, breast cysts, breast fibroids, and fibrocystic/dense breasts, general abnormal cell and benign breast challenges, with immense continued success. It is used to detoxify carcinogens, discourage tumor growth, reduce tumors with natural anti-neoplastons (components of a biochemical defense system that controls cancer without destroying normal, healthy cells), inhibit cancer, increase natural killer cell activity, deter cancer, inhibit cancer cell reproduction, balance hormones, and to help the body fight cancer:
